Our unique "H2Orchestra" for children is only the second in the world, and the first to be available in the United States. It was created especially for Worldways Children's Museum by German musical artist Michael Bradke. Ours is a new and innovative version of his original "Water Orchestra", which has been presented to more than 100,000 children in over 60 European cities. More than 30 instruments are set up in plastic and metal tubs, barrels and as mechanical machines.
Instruments to "play" in the "H2Orchestra" include Splish & Splash Pianos, Diving Gongs, A Bottlephone, Fun Funnels, Water Organ, Water Steel Drums, Water Bells, Q-Plunk Sticks, Q-Plop Tubes and more.
Together the instruments form a circle 40 feet in diameter. The "H2Orchestra" is a creative, outdoor musical activity for 30-40 children aged 2 to 99. It may be rented for one day or several days during the months of April-October. The rental price is $550 for school and $600 for other venues for a 6 hour day. For special school discounts & more information contact Worldways Children's Museum at 636-207-7405 or by e-mail.

"Family Fun" -"free-play" entertainment for festivals, art fairs, holidays, celebrations, adventure playgrounds, public swimming pools, birthday parties and family reunions. |
Children and their parents can experiment with the instruments that function with water by producing different sounds and musical tones in combination with their own distinct rhythm (stream, blubber, splash, splish, q-plunk and q-plop). When the summer temperatures soar, it's just fun to play and get wet! |

|
"Master Classes" A series of workshops to explore the musical possibilities of H2O instruments with a guided composition process. Classes may include such activities as recording music, inventing new H2O instruments, "H2O Contest" and "H2Orchestra Competition." |
Classes may range from playing with score to the creating and recording of the group's own music for the "H2Orchestra." Participants may improvise and experience focusing techniques as they learn associated scientific elements of acoustics. Students will create their own musical piece. Through this process they can build notation skills and understanding of forms, rhythmic structures, phrasing and balance in music. |
